Ethyl 2-aminobutanoate is a neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory agent that belongs to the group of unsaturated alkyls. It has been shown to have an effect on GABA receptors, which leads to increased levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid in the brain. Ethyl 2-aminobutanoate also inhibits protease activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit inflammation.
