2-Amino-3-(3-nitrophenyl)propanoic acid is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, such as influenza virus and its inhibitors. The chloride anion can also be introduced into the molecule by reacting propionyl chloride with 2-amino-3-(3-nitrophenyl)propanoic acid. 2-Amino-3-(3-nitrophenyl)propanoic acid is an organic chemical that has been shown to inhibit influenza A viruses in the laboratory.
