Product Information
1-tert-Butyl 2-methyl 4-aminopyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylate hydrochloride (BAM) is a prodrug of thiamine, which is formed by the addition of an aminopyrrolidinedicarboxylic acid to the thiazole ring. It has been shown to be effective in cancer tissues and solid tumours. BAM has been shown to induce neuronal death in vitro and in vivo by interacting with cell factor, which is a protein that regulates cell growth. This drug also exhibits biological properties such as intermolecular hydrogen bonding and reaction solution. BAM is hydrolyzed by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidized by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduced by glutathione reductase, or conjugated with glucuronic acid. The disulfide bond present in this compound gives it resistance against breast cancer cells resistant to chemotherape
