Description

Deltoin is a coumarin derivative that belongs to the class of drugs known as neurotrophic factors. It stimulates the release of other neurotrophic factors and increases the availability of energy substrates for nerve cells. Deltoin also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to inhibition of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) expression. Experimental models have shown that Deltoin can improve symptoms in rats with congestive heart failure and bowel disease, but it has not been tested in humans.
