Product Information

Name:
Cycloart-22-ene-3,25-diol
Description:

Cycloart-22-ene-3,25-diol is a natural product that belongs to the group of flavonoids. Cycloart-22-ene-3,25-diol has been shown to inhibit tyrosinase activity in vitro and in vivo. This inhibition is due to the ability of the compound to bind covalently with the active site of tyrosinase and to prevent it from binding with its substrate (DOPA). Cycloart-22-ene-3,25-diol also inhibits the expression of tyrosinase by interfering with transcription and translation. In addition, it has been shown that this compound inhibits tyrosinase by inhibiting protein synthesis. Cycloart-22-ene-3,25-diol has also been shown to have antiinflammatory effects through its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
