Product Information
N,N-Bis(4-biphenylyl)aniline is a chemical compound that has been used as an organic semiconductor in organic solar cells. It was first synthesized by the reaction of aniline with 4-biphenylboronic acid and potassium carbonate in the presence of sulfuric acid. N,N-Bis(4-biphenylyl)aniline has shown efficiencies of up to 2.7% in thin film solar cells which are much higher than those for other organic semiconductors. This compound is also used as a spacer molecule in organic solar cells because it can be easily removed from the donor layer during fabrication, leaving behind only a small amount of residual material.
