- 4-amino-N'-hydroxy-1,2,5-oxadiazole-3-carboximidoyl chloride
- 4-Amino-N-hydroxy-1,2,5-oxadiazole-3-carbimidoyl chloride
The 1,2,5-Oxadiazole-3-carboximidoyl chloride, 4-amino-N-hydroxy (1ODC) is a synthetic probe that can be used for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of cancer cells. It is able to bind to the chloride channel on the surface of cancer cells and emits positrons when it decays. This probe has been shown to be an effective PET imaging agent for detecting and locating cancers in mice. The 1ODC also shows potential as a PET imaging agent for other types of cancers, such as prostate cancer.
