1,3,5-Tris[4-(diphenylamino)phenyl]benzene is a fluorescent dye that emits light upon excitation with an electron beam. The emission wavelength and quantum efficiency of the dye depend on the temperature of the sample. This dye has been used to study molecular transport through a variety of devices such as organic light-emitting diodes and field-effect transistors. It has also been used to study energy transfer between molecules in order to understand the mechanisms involved in these processes. In addition, this dye has been used to measure atomic force microscopy (AFM) images at temperatures ranging from 0 K to 400 K.
