Description:

Gerambullin is a capsicum annuum extract that has been shown to have a variety of bioactive properties. The extract contains flavus, thiocarbamic, acridone and isomeric profiles in addition to dambullin. It also has the ability to inhibit the growth of trichanthera and leaf extracts have been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. Gerambullin is an active ingredient in chilli peppers and has been used as a natural product for centuries. Techniques such as HPLC-MS/MS, NMR, GC-MS and LC-ESI-MS have been used to identify the active compound in gerambullin.
