Description:
2-(1-Hydroxy-3-methylbutylidene)-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione is a monoclonal antibody that has been shown to inhibit the enzyme acid phosphatase. It has been used in the diagnosis of liver disease and is specific for type IV collagenase. The use of 2-(1-hydroxy-3-methylbutylidene)-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexanedione as a diagnostic tool has been shown to be advantageous because it can provide more accurate prognosis than other methods such as ultrasound or MRI.
