Description

2-(8-Heptadecenyl)-4,6-dihydroxybenzoic acid is a synthetic compound that mimics the natural fatty acid dihydro. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis and cell lysis in human erythrocytes, which may be due to its ability to disrupt the membrane potential.
