Product Information

Name:
2,6-Dimethoxyanilino(oxo)acetic acid
Description:

2,6-Dimethoxyanilino(oxo)acetic acid (DMAA) is a new ligand that can be used in the transformation of aliphatic and aromatic amines. DMAA can be used as an efficient catalyst for cross-coupling reactions, such as the amination of aliphatic and aromatic amines with iodides to produce N-alkylamines. The mechanism of this transformation is thought to involve a 1,2-addition followed by a nucleophilic substitution reaction. DMAA can also be used as an efficient catalyst for the coupling of aliphatic and aromatic iodides with aliphatic amines to produce N,N'-disubstituted ureas. This chemical has shown high reactivity in both these transformations.
