Product Information
3',4'-Dichloro-biphenyl-2-amine hydrochloride (DBA) is a catalyst that is used for asymmetric synthesis of carbohydrates. DBA acts as an imidazolyl ligand in the presence of a palladium complex and has been shown to be effective in the coupling of terminal alkyne, aryl halide, and vinyl boronic esters. In these reactions, DBA coordinates to palladium and furnishes the catalytic site. This catalytic activity is thought to be due to its ability to form a carbene or nitrogen atom when coordinated with palladium.
