Description:
1-(2-Nitrophenyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid is an inhibitor of the protein synthesis that is involved in the development of cardiac hypertrophy. It has been shown to reduce cardiac hypertrophy and its associated symptoms, such as left ventricular wall thickness and left ventricle weight, in mice. 1-(2-Nitrophenyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid also inhibits collagen synthesis in skeletal muscle cells, which may lead to a reduction of muscle tissue. 1-(2-Nitrophenyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid belongs to the family of microRNAs that play a role in modulating various cellular processes. Upregulation of microRNAs can be induced by 1-(2-Nitrophenyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid, which may lead to cell death.
