Product Information
2-Chloro-N-(4-(5-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-(2-methoxyethoxy)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)acetamide (AZD5438) is an inhibitor of the polymerase chain reaction. It inhibits DNA synthesis by binding to pyrazole rings in the enzyme's active site and blocking the access of nucleotides. AZD5438 has been shown to have a high cytotoxic activity against human cancer cells while having minimal toxicity against normal cells. This drug has been shown to synergize with other chemotherapeutic agents such as doxorubicin and cisplatin. AZD5438 also has antiinflammatory and immunosuppressive activities which may be due to its ability to inhibit toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4).
