Product Information
Dichlororuthenium(II) is an inorganic chemical compound that has been used as a catalyst to reduce the need for hydrogen gas in ammonia production. It can also be used as a reagent in organic synthesis, such as the conversion of mercaptans to thiols. Dichlororuthenium(II) has been shown to be cytotoxic and induce apoptosis in primary cells and in human liver cells. This metal also forms a hydrogen bond with physiological effects. The vibrational spectra of dichlororuthenium(II) have been studied using x-ray diffraction techniques and show that this compound is capable of producing single-stranded DNA in the presence of low detection levels. The electrochemical properties of dichlororuthenium(II) have been studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
