2,5-Dichloro-N-[2-(dimethylphosphoryl)phenyl]pyrimidin-4-amine is a small molecule kinase inhibitor that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), also known as ErbB1. This drug inhibits the activation of the EGFR by binding to its extracellular domain, thereby preventing downstream signaling and inhibiting cell proliferation. It has been shown to be effective in treating cell lung cancer and lung cancer in animal models. 2,5-Dichloro-N-[2-(dimethylphosphoryl)phenyl]pyrimidin-4-amine has been shown to be an effective agent for treatment of lymphoma and leukemia, as well.
