Product Information
2-Aminonon-8-enoic acid is a racemized histone deacetylase inhibitor developed by Dr. S. Matsuoka and his team at the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences in Japan. It has been synthesized through a Grignard reaction followed by a transfer to an amido group. This aminonono acid has two functionalities, one as a ligand and the other as an epoxyketone. It is also chiral, which allows for synthesis of different stereoisomers, including D-2-aminonono-8-enoic acid, L-2-aminonono-8-enoic acid, and their corresponding enantiomers.
