N-(2-Ethoxyphenyl)-N'-(4-ethylphenyl)-ethlyene diamide is a stabilizer that is used to prevent the polymerization of polyvinyl chloride. This additive is also used for analytical purposes, as a stabilizer in organic solvents, and as a long-chain absorber. It can be synthesized by reacting benzene with ethylene oxide and acetaldehyde. The chemical structure of this additive consists of two cycloaliphatic rings and one aromatic ring. The nmr spectra show that it has a low molecular mass and low molecular weight.
