Product Information
- Butanoicacid, 2-(acetylamino)-4-(hydroxymethylphosphinyl)-, (?à)-
- N-Acetyl glufosinate
Glufosinate-N-acetyl is a pesticide that inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in insects. It acts by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme called acetyl CoA carboxylase, which is required to produce fatty acids. Glufosinate-N-acetyl also inhibits other enzymes that are involved in the production of fatty acids, such as deacetylases and conjugates. Glufosinate-N-acetyl is used to control pests on various plants, including soybeans, cotton, sugar beets, and fruits. The transport of glufosinate-N-acetyl from leaves to roots has been shown to be facilitated by a process called adsorption. This process occurs when glufosinate-N-acetyl binds with soil particles or organic matter on the surface of the leaf and then moves into plant tissues.
