Description:
Primidone-d5 is an analog of primidone. It is used as a pharmaceutical agent to treat human disease and is an analytical reagent in the study of disruptors. Primidone-d5 has been shown to interfere with the activity of beta-blockers and antiepileptics, such as caffeine. Primidone-d5 may be used as a probe for monitoring the environment for sulfamethoxazole and triclosan, which are often found in antibacterial products and biocides. Primidone-d5 also has antibacterial activity against bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus.
