Applications N-(Benzyloxycarbonyl)ethanolamine is an intermediate used to prepare alkynylaryladenines as A2A adenosine receptor agonists and effects on hepatic glucose production. It is also used in the synthesis of functionalized N-arylaminoethyl amides as noncovalent inhibitors of cathepsin S.
