Applications 2,2-Dichloro-N-methyl-3-oxobutanamide is an intermediate used in the synthesis of Monocrotophos-d6 (M526052), which is a labeled Monocrotophoes, an organophosphorous insecticide. Monocrotophos is used mainly against cotton pests but it is also used in the protection of citrus, rice, potatoes, vegetables and other crops.
