Applications 3-O-[(1,1-Dimethylethyl)dimethylsilyl]-1,2:5,6-bis-O-(1-methylethylidene)-α-D-glucofuranose is an intermediate used in the synthesis of (5E)-5,6-Dideoxy-3-O-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)dimethylsilyl]-1,2-O-(1-methylethylidene)-6-nitro-α-D-xylo-hex-5-enofuranose (D495405), which can be used in the synthesis of Pancratistatin (P173600), an anti-cancer compound that initiates cell-death in cancer cells.
