Applications 3-Fluoro-5-trifluoromethylbenzonitrile is a reagent used in the synthesis of cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) inhibitors in the treatment of high cholesterol. Also used in the preparation of substituted pyrimidines with dithioacetals for antimicrobial activity.
