Applications (8S,9S,10R,13S,14S)-17-(2,2-Dihydroxyacetyl)-11-hydroxy-10,13-dimethyl-6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15-decahydro-3H-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-3-one is an impurity of budesonide which is a non-halogenated glucocorticoid related to triamcinolone hexacetonide. Used as an antiinflammatory agent.
