Applications 5-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(4-methyl-3-pentenyl)-7-pentyl-2H-1-benzopyran-6-carboxaldehyde is an intermediate in the synthesis of (±)-Cannabichromenic Acid (C175285), which is a derivative of (±)-Cannabichromene (C175280), which is a non Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) phytocannabinoid, that increases viability and inhibits differentiation into astroglia through upregulation of ATP and adenosine signaling in adult mouse neural stem progenitor cells (NSPC). (±)-Cannabichromene is a potent rat transient receptor potential (TRP)A1 agonist and desensitizer.
