Applications 16-Hydroxycorticosterone 20-Hydroxy-21-Acid is an oxidized derivative of corticosterone (C695700), an intermediate in the biosynthesis of aldosterone (A514700), isolated from the adrenal cortex. It is also a pheramone that triggers natural behaviour in the vomeronasal system of mice.
