Applications 3-Hydroxykynurenine is a metabolite of tryptophan. 3-Hydroxykynurenine filters UV light in the human lens. Studies suggest that Hydroxykynurenine is an endogenous oxidative stress generator and a potential endogenous neurotoxin.
