Applications 5-Methoxy-2-(p-methoxyphenyl)skatole is a reactant in the synthesis of a metabolite of Bazedoxifene (B129250), a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Bazedoxifene Acetate is used as an antiosteoporotic.
