Applications α-Methyl-2-piperidinemethanol-13C2 is a labelled analogue of α-Methyl-2-piperidinemethanol (M324830), which can be used in the preparation of substances with herbicidal activity. α-Methyl-2-piperidinemethanol-13C2 is also an intermediate in synthesizing 2-Acetyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine-13C2 Hydrochloride (A188502), which is a labelled 2-Acetyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine (A188500), the most important bread flavor component.
