Applications N-{[5-(4-Nitrophenyl)furan-2-yl]methylidene}hydroxylamine is an intermediate in the synthesis of 5-(4-Nitrophenyl)-2-furaldehyde-(2-carboxymethyl) Semicarbazone (N503540), an impurity in the synthesis of Dantrolene (D185000), a muscle relaxant (skeletal). Dantrolene is used in the treatment of malignant hyperthermia.
