Omega-Conotoxin GVIA has been shown to inhibit diastolic pressure in rats, as well as glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and kappa-opioid receptors in mice. The inhibition of GFR may be due to its effect on Ca2+ signaling, leading to decreased activity of the Na/K ATPase pump in proximal tubules.
