:Griseofulvina

Griseofulvina é um medicamento antifúngico usado principalmente para tratar infecções por dermatófitos, particularmente aquelas que afetam a pele, cabelo e unhas. É derivado do mofo Penicillium griseofulvum e funciona inibindo a mitose das células fúngicas, impedindo assim o crescimento e a reprodução de fungos. This includes fungal infections of the nails, scalp and the skin when antifungal creams have not worked. It is suggested that it prevents nuclear acid production and fungal cell mitosis. Additionally, through binding to alpha and beta tubulin, it interferes with the function of the spindle and cytoplasmic microtubules.
