CAS:(R)-(+)-XylBINAP is an asymmetric hydrogenation catalyst that is a diphosphine ligand. It has been used in the kinetic resolution of β-unsaturated aldehydes, where it selectively reduces one enantiomer to give the corresponding alcohols. The chiral nature of these products can be confirmed by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. In addition, (R)-(+)-XylBINAP has been used in the synthesis of imines and primary amines by reacting with amines or ammonia, respectively. This compound is operational under mild conditions at room temperature and pressure. It is insoluble in water and soluble in common organic solvents such as ether, benzene, chloroform, and acetone. A polarimeter can be used to measure the degree of rotation of polarized light beams passing through a solution containing a substance whose concentration changes when its molarity is changed.Fórmula:C52H48P2Pureza:Min. 95%Peso molecular:734.89 g/mol
