    AZD0156 is a novel anticancer drug. It is an inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinase, RET, which is involved in the development of a variety of cancers. AZD0156 has been shown to have cytostatic effects on a number of cancer cell lines and to be effective in treating adrenocortical carcinoma. This drug also exhibits pharmacokinetic properties that allow it to be delivered orally or intravenously and has been shown to selectively inhibit RET-mediated signals. It interacts with RET receptors, causing inhibition of downstream signaling events that are mediated by this receptor. These events include cell proliferation, migration, and survival.
