    Liraglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 analog that has been shown to be an effective treatment for obesity. Liraglutide targets the adipose tissue and reduces the amount of glucose in the blood by increasing insulin sensitivity, lowering food intake, and reducing appetite.
