Ácido metilsuccínico, com o número CAS 498-21-5, é um ácido dicarboxílico caracterizado por seus dois grupos funcionais carboxila (-COOH) e um grupo metila ligado à estrutura do ácido succínico. Existe em duas formas isoméricas: 2-Ácido metilsuccínico e 3-Ácido metilsuccínico, que diferem na posição do grupo metila.
