CAS:Hexylcaine hydrochloride is a basic structure with a chemical formula of C14H26N2O. It has been used as a local anaesthetic and vasodilator. Hexylcaine hydrochloride binds to the receptors on nerve cells and blocks the transmission of impulses, which leads to numbness or pain relief. Hexylcaine hydrochloride also inhibits angiogenesis by binding to angiogenic factors such as VEGF-A and TGF-β1, which are involved in the formation of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones. This drug can be repositioned for use in other diseases such as cancer by targeting its receptor binding site on tumor cells. Hexylcaine hydrochloride has been shown to have no side effects in animal experiments and is biocompatible with living tissues because it does not react chemically with most substances, including collagen and phospholipids.
