CAS:2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-4-methathiazanone-1,1-dioxide (Methazolamide) is a drug that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Methazolamide is used to treat glaucoma, allergic reactions, and other eye disorders. Methazolamide has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties in some cases. In other cases, it may cause hypersensitivity syndrome and pyrazole ring formation. The drug has been shown to be chemically stable at room temperature and in the presence of light. It also does not interact with other drugs or chemical compounds. However, methazolamide may cause side effects such as impaired muscle function and liver damage when taken in high doses. Additionally, this drug can cause an increase in the production of enzymes that are involved in metabolism of toxic epidermal substances such as infectious diseases and sublethal doses of chemicals.br>
