Descrição:
t-Boc-aminooxyacetic acid is a model protein that has been synthesized to investigate the uptake, function and synthesis of aminooxyacetic acid. It is reactive, which makes it difficult to isolate and purify. The disulfide bond provides stability for the molecule. t-Boc-aminooxyacetic acid is used in cancer research as a conjugate for cytotoxic drugs or radioisotopes. This compound has been shown to have a biological interaction with cells, specifically through its binding to fatty acids. t-Boc-aminooxyacetic acid has also been shown to bind carbohydrates, which may be due to its functional groups.
