Fmoc-mini-PEG Fmoc-8-Amino-3,6-Dioxaoctanoic Acid is a Building Block that belongs to the molecule group. It is an activator for vancomycin in the treatment of staphylococcal infections. Vancomycin inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the bacterial ribosome and inhibiting peptide bond formation. Fmoc-mini-PEG Fmoc-8-Amino-3,6-Dioxaoctanoic Acid is a covalent activator of vancomycin. This activator has been shown to be effective against Staphylococcus aureus isolates as well as human albumin conjugates with vancomycin.
