LB-100 is a low potency, orally available inhibitor of the polymerase chain reaction. LB-100 inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in vitro in miapaca-2 cells. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and induce antitumor response in mouse tumor models. LB-100 also reduces water vapor loss from the lungs, which is associated with bowel disease, hepatic steatosis, and radiation therapy.
