2-(4-Ethoxybenzyl)-1-(cyclohexylmethyl)-N,N-diethyl-1H-benzo[D]imidazole-5-carboxamide is a potent and selective inhibitor of Kv7.2 channels. It blocks these channels by binding to the external vestibule of the open channel pore and occluding access to the selectivity filter. 2-(4-Ethoxybenzyl)-1-(cyclohexylmethyl)-N,N-diethyl-1H-benzo[D]imidazole-5-carboxamide has been used as a research tool in cell biology and pharmacology, where it has been shown to be an inhibitor of protein interactions, activator of ligands, receptor, antibody and peptides.
