:Hederacolchiside A1
Description:
Hederacolchiside A1 is a saponin compound primarily derived from the plant species Hederacodium, which is known for its potential pharmacological properties. This compound is characterized by its glycosidic structure, which typically includes a sugar moiety linked to a steroid or triterpenoid aglycone. Saponins like Hederacolchiside A1 are recognized for their ability to form stable foams in aqueous solutions and exhibit surfactant properties. They are also noted for their biological activities, which may include anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects. The presence of multiple hydroxyl groups in its structure contributes to its solubility in water and its interaction with biological membranes. Additionally, Hederacolchiside A1 may play a role in traditional medicine, although further research is necessary to fully elucidate its therapeutic potential and mechanisms of action. As with many natural compounds, the specific effects and applications of Hederacolchiside A1 are an area of ongoing scientific investigation.

CAS:
Hederacolchiside A1 is a natural product that has been shown to have apoptotic properties. It induces apoptosis by altering the mitochondrial membrane potential and activating caspase-3, which are both critical steps in the apoptosis pathway. Hederacolchiside A1 was shown to significantly induce cytotoxicity in HL-60 cells with an IC50 of 2.6 μg/ml and to induce cell death in human monoclonal antibody-producing cells (mcf-7) with a median lethal dose of 4 μM. The chemical structure of hederacolchiside A1 is similar to that of cisplatin, which is associated with nephrotoxicity in women treated for cancer. This study showed that hederacolchiside A1 had no significant toxicity on mcf-7 cells, indicating it may be a safer alternative to cisplatin when treating women with cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity
Formula:C47H76O16Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:897.1 g/molRef: 3D-FH74261
