• Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH

    CAS:

Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH is a molecule that inhibits the activity of nerve growth factor (NGF) by binding to the NGF receptor. It has been shown to be effective in reducing oxidative stress and nerve injury. Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH also has a molecular target for cancer, as it binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and blocks the epidermal growth factor from binding to the receptor. This leads to a decrease in cancer cell proliferation and an increase in apoptosis. Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH also binds to serotonin receptors and reduces pancreatic cancer cells in culture. The molecule is currently under development as a potential treatment for pancreatic cancer.
