    <p>Clotrimazole-d5 is a prodrug that is converted to clotrimazole in vivo. Clotrimazole-d5 is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme phospholipase A2, which is an important component of the inflammatory response. This drug has been shown to be effective against a range of fungi and yeasts, including Candida albicans and other species. Clotrimazole-d5 also inhibits the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting phospholipase A2, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects. The drug has been analysed using a variety of techniques such as gas chromatography, mass spectrometry and high performance liquid chromatography.</p>
