Octahydro-1H-isoindol-4-ol
CAS:
Octahydro-1H-isoindol-4-ol is a potent, cisplatin-like antagonist of tachykinin receptors. It has high affinity for the NK2 receptor and low affinity for the NK1 receptor. Octahydro-1H-isoindol-4-ol also has an antiemetic effect in rats that is not blocked by the NK1 receptor antagonist, piperidine. The dose range for octahydro-1H-isoindol-4-ol is from low doses to high doses. The drug has been shown to be potent in animal studies; it had a 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.2 nM for the rat NK2 receptor, which is lower than cisplatin's IC50 of 2 nM. In human cells, octahydro-1H-isoindol-4-ol inhibited the binding of [3H]neurokinin A
Formula:C8H15NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:141.21 g/mol
