CAS:3-Iodo-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridazine is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by inhibiting the fatty acid synthesis. This drug has been shown to be effective against ulceration caused by the murine sarcoma virus, HIV infection, and inflammatory bowel disease. 3-Iodo-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridazine has also been used in experimental models as a dietary supplement for treatment of symptoms of bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. With respect to cancer, 3-iodo-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridazine has been shown to inhibit tumor perfusion and reduce tumor size.
