CAS:Isothipendyl hydrochloride is a crystalline cellulose derivative that is used as an excipient in pharmaceutical preparations. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of animal cells and bacteria, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with optimum concentrations ranging from 3 to 30%. Isothipendyl hydrochloride has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties against inflammatory diseases, such as allergic rhinitis and asthma. Isothipendyl hydrochloride may also be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis. Isothipendyl hydrochloride has also been shown to have anti-cancer activity, inhibiting skin cancer cell growth. This may be due to its effects on receptor activity by inhibiting certain cellular functions necessary for tumor cell proliferation.
